LSU lands commitment from 2024 forward Devon Pryor
LSU landed a commitment from 2024 Houston (Tex.) PSAT Academy forward Devon Pryor on Tuesday, he told On3’s Joe Tipton.
Devon’s father, Alfred, is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, and the Pryor family are life-long LSU fans.
Pryor picked up an offer from LSU after head coach Matt McMahon watched him play a couple weekends back in Bryan, Texas for Adidas 3SSB. Pryor plays with One Time Legends, coached by Tracy McGrady.
The Bengal Tiger caught up with him about the offer from the Tigers. He made an unofficial visit to LSU on Monday, sealing his commitment.
“Louisiana is in my blood, so it hits home,” Pryor told On3 after LSU offered. “I’m pretty excited about that one. My dad is from Shreveport and I’m down there a lot, so it’s like a second home to me.”

Along with LSU, Pryor also received offers from Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Colorado, Oklahoma State, and others.
Pryor is a high-upside wing that is on the rise nationally. He’s fluid, long, athletic, and can create his own shot. At 6-foot-7, he has great positional size and a skillset that translates to the next level. Pryor is a quality three-point shooter.
While he is currently rated as a three-star recruit, Pryor is unranked nationally by On3 but expect that to change in the near future. Pryor ranks as the No. 204 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings — the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies (ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals, On3).
LSU landed its first commitment in the 2024 class with Pryor jumping aboard. It won’t be the last.
