LSU lands commitment from Louisiana kicker
The LSU football staff has landed another commitment for the 2024 recruiting class.
On Saturday, Parkway High (Bossier City, La.) kicker Aeron Burrell shut down his recruitment and committed to the Tigers.
LSU now has 12 commitments for the 2024 cycle with a class that ranks inside the Top 10 of the On3 Industry Rankings.
LSU gets commitment No. 12 for 2024 class
The LSU staff offered Burrell a verbal scholarship earlier this spring, which came soon after LSU head coach Brian Kelly named John Jancek as the team’s special teams coordinator.
The Shreveport native is ranked by Kohl’s Kicking Academy as the No. 2 kicker in the 2024 class.
As a junior, Burrell recorded touchdbacks on 51 of his 51 kickoffs. He was 8-for-10 on field goal attempts, which included a pair of 50+ yard conversions.

Burrell is the first kicker the Tigers have taken on scholarship since Nathan Dibert in the 2022 recruiting cycle.
Dibert remains on LSU’s roster, and he’s currently battling former walk-on Damian Ramos for the starting job this fall. Ramos was the team’s starter in 2022, though Dibert stepped in for some kickoffs as a true freshman.
