LSU makes Top 12 for 4-star LB Jonah Williams

2025 Galveston (Tex.) Ball linebacker Jonah Williams is already one of the top prospects in the country and LSU offered last month. Now the Tigers made his Top 12 schools, he announced on Thursday.
TCU, Tennessee, USC, Ohio State, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Oregon and Arizona State also made the top schools.
LSU is one he wants to check out after earning the offer.
“I was very excited and humbled to receive an offer from my favorite college growing up,” Williams told On3 in May. “I like the atmosphere, the hospitality they show. It was really great.”
Safeties coach Kerry Cooks delivered the good news after stopping in at his high school. When the two spoke, Williams was impressed.
“I really liked coach Cooks,” Williams said. “He was calm and he seems like a great coach. He said he liked what I put on film and that I would be a really great fit for the defense.”

Houston, Texas and Texas A&M have hosted the four-star prospect for visits this spring already, but LSU is one that he plans to get to in the future. He wants to visit all the colleges that’ve offered him.
“A college that makes me a better man above playing football,” Williams said of his priorities when choosing a college. “A place that fits just right and school that’s gonna make me a better man day in and day out.”
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Williams ranks as the No. 30 overall prospect in the country, No. 2 linebacker in the nation and No. 4 prospect in Texas. Texas leads the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine over Texas A&M for Williams.
