LSU MBB makes final four teams for 4-star forward
Four-star power forward Jamarion Davis-Fleming announced his top four schools on Tuesday evening with an exclusive interview with Joe Tipton of On3. The list includes James Madison, LSU, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss.
A 6-foot-8 forward in the 2025 class, he has already taken unofficial visits to Mississippi State and LSU and has his official visit to Starkville planned for Sept. 20 and plans to make the other visits soon. Fleming is from Canton, Mississippi and the in-state schools are looking to keep him in the state.
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Fleming is the No. 105 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. He’s also the No. 24 power forward prospect and the No. 1 player in Mississippi. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Mississippi State: “They’re on me hard. I talk to coach Brooks and coach Jans every day. They tell me if I come in and compete and work, I would have a good chance to play as a freshman. They’re not going to guarantee me a spot, but they’re showing me I can work for it. They talk to me before and after games, hit me up and tell me like, I did great on this, keep doing this, and they ask about my family. It’s not just always basketball. That’s the reason I love Mississippi State. And it’s not too far from home, only like an hour away. They’re a great school. They play inside-out and play through my position. They said they’re going to let me play the four, shoot it, spread it out and show my complete package.”

LSU: “LSU has been on me hard since coach McMahon got the job. Same thing with LSU pretty much. They’re not too far from home. They always reach out and talk to me before games, after games, wish me good luck. They told me I could come in and be a high major guy and work and compete. I would have a great chance to play as a freshman as well. That’s why I love McMahon, he called me the other day and we’re trying to schedule a visit.”
Ole Miss: “I recently just got back in contact with Ole Miss. They’re a great school. They play inside-out and play through their bigs and let their bigs play. Coach Beard is a great coach and brings a winning mentality. I talk to them and they preach about winning and I want to go somewhere where I can win.”
JMU: “It’s a great school, I just got in contact with them as well. I had a great talk with the head coach and he told me he barely offers high school guys. Even though I’m a highly recruited guy, he likes the way I play and it fits hit style. He said I could come in and play my position and play inside out. Not just on the block. We had a good 15 minute talk and asked about the family and not just about basketball.”
