LSU MBB target announces decision date, top three schools
LSU target Colt Langdon will announce his college decision live on the On3 Recruits YouTube Channel on Wednesday, July 10 at 5 p.m, CT. A 6-foot-7 wing out of Raleigh, North Carolina, Langdon is the No. 105 player on On3’s rankings and the No. 7 player in North Carolina.
Langdon was a player LSU recruited heavily earlier in 2024 and hosted on an unofficial visit on March. LSU was his last recorded visit, but several top-tier programs were in the mix like Virginia Tech, Illinois, Alabama, Notre Dame, and Butler. Now, Langdon has trimmed his list to just three teams on the week of his decision: LSU, Butler, Notre Dame.
Here were my thoughts on Langdon after watching him in person at the Nike EYBL in Memphis earlier this summer.
“Langdon is a knockdown shooter who has incredible toughness and a high level understanding of the game. He’s the No. 80 player in the class on On3, but 122nd in the On3 Industry Rankings. He was in and out of the lineup due to matchups on Friday, but helped his Team United squad get a two-point win to start the EYBL season.”

An excellent player in his role, Langdon is a player Matt McMahon and his LSU staff certainly could see fitting in nicely with the other young pieces on the roster.
“They’ve recruited me for a while, so I have a good relationship with coach Long, coach Moore, and coach McMahon,” Langdon said. “I talk to them almost daily and they think I can go there and fit into their system perfectly. I’m excited to get down there for an official sometime this summer.”
LSU has a long list of potential prospects it plans on hosting this fall for official visits and that list continues to grow as Matt McMahon and his staff look to put together another class that will keep them competitive with the top half of the SEC for years to come. The Tigers finished the 2024 class top 15 in the country with three top 65 recruits and look for even more success in the 2025 class.
