LSU moves to 22 commitments for the 2024 class
With a commitment from Louisiana offensive lineman Joseph Cryer on Monday and the addition of Texas offensive lineman Ory Williams on Sunday, LSU’s 2024 class continues to add more recruits to the commit list.
The Tigers now have 22 verbal commitments on board, which includes four new additions over the past 10 days.
Cryer is the fourth commit for LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis, who also landed Williams, North Carolina offensive tackle Ethan Calloway and Louisiana interior offensive lineman Khayree Lee.
LSU adds commitment No. 14 from Louisiana’s 2024 class
When it comes to recruiting in the Bayou State, LSU has added 14 Louisiana prospects, which includes eight players on defense, five on offense and one on special teams.
Linebacker Tylen Singleton is the second highest-ranked defensive prospect of the nine-man haul, checking in as a Top 150 overall prospect. Denham Springs safety Dashawn McBryde is the lone commitment on defense ranked higher than Singleton, with McBryde entering his senior season as a Top 100 prospect nationally.
Destrehan linebacker/EDGE rusher Kolaj Cobbins, Lafayette Christian Academy cornerback Ju’Juan Johnson, West Feliciana safety Joel Rogers, Westgate defensive lineman De’Myrion Johnson, Ruston defensive lineman Ahmad Breaux and Warren Easton defensive back Wallace Foster are the other Louisiana commitments in on defense.
On offense, the highest-ranked commitment from the Bayou State is four-star Trey’Dez Green, who is ranked as the No. 72 overall prospect in the class. Beyond Cryer and Williams, Terrebonne wide receiver Kylan Billiot, John Curtis wide receiver Michael Turner and John Ehret offensive lineman Khayree Lee are the other commitments on offense.

There’s also a special teams pledge on board, and it’s from the nation’s No. 1 kicker prospect in Parkway’s Aeron Burrell.
Williams was LSU’s seventh commitment from a non-Louisiana native this cycle. He joins Florida cornerback Cai Bates, Tennessee cornerback Ondre Evans, North Carolina offensive tackle Ethan Calloway, Florida quarterback Colin Hurley, Georgia wide receiver Joseph Stone and Texas linebacker Davhon Keys. Louisiana native turned Texas rising senior Xavier Atkins remains publicly committed to LSU, though he’s not expected to be part of the class on Signing Day.

The LSU staff is still pushing for Texas four-star Blake Ivy, who visited Baton Rouge for the Bayou Splash on Friday, then took a trip to Texas A&M on Saturday. LSU also hosted Georgia four-star Elyjah Thurmon on Friday, and Davis offered him a verbal scholarship. The Tigers are still recruiting Texas offensive tackle Weston Davis, who is committed to the Aggies.
