LSU offers JUCO WR Marquis Montgomery
The LSU football staff has been heavy on high school and NCAA Transfer Portal targets.
Now, the Tigers have jumped into the mix for a junior college prospect.
On Sunday evening, LSU offered Snow College (Utah) wide receiver Marquis Montgomery.
Two days ago, Montgomery announced a top seven that included Penn State, Texas A&M, Cal, Utah State, BYU, USF and Jackson State.
At 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, Montgomery is ranked by On3 as the No. 4 wide receiver in JUCO and the No. 28 overall JUCO prospect in the 2023 class.
With Sunday’s addition of Syracuse cornerback Duce Chestnut, the Tigers have at least six open scholarship spots still remaining this offseason.
Snow College finished 8-2 this past season, and while Montgomery was part of a run-heavy approach on offense, he still logged nearly 18 yards per catch with 13 receptions for 223 yards and three touchdowns on the season.
