LSU offers Louisiana WR Kylan Billiot
2024 Houma (La.) Terrebonne wide receiver Kylan Billiot was back at LSU Elite Camp for yet another summer workout, competing at the Elite Camp on Wednesday before returning for the team 7-on-7 camp on Saturday.
The 6-3, 190-pound wideout put on a show, and with the entire LSU staff watching, Billiot did enough to earn a verbal scholarship from the staff.
“They said I worked hard enough for it,” he said. “I am blessed. It’s my dream school.”
The offer arrived after Terrebonne High took on LCA in the title game of the 7-on-7 tournament.
After LSU wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton delivered the offer, Billiot was swarmed by not just teammates and Terrebonne coaches, but a number of Houma area natives like LSU defensive lineman Maason Smith, LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy and LSU assistant Jordan Arcement.
“It was wonderful. They are family,” Billiot said. “It means a lot to me.”
As for the verbal scholarship from LSU, Billiot’s showing proved to Hankton and the staff that he was ready to compete at the SEC level.
