LSU OL Charles Turner accepts Senior Bowl invite
LSU offensive lineman Charles Turner accepted his invitation to the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., signaling a likely departure to the NFL. The Canton, Ohio native could’ve returned for his final year of college eligibility.
The 6-4, 300-pounder started 25 games over his 38 games played so far. The last two years, he’s been LSU’s starting center. In 2020 and 2021, he started a game in each season.
Turner led the offensive line this season to its best since the 2019 LSU National Championship Team, which Turner was a true freshman for. He originally signed with the Tigers out of IMG Academy and came in as a blocking tight end before bulking up.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Turner ranked as the No. 462 overall prospect in the country and No. 29 interior offensive lineman in the nation.
