Detroit Lions' 5th-rounder Miles Frazier marks LSU's 3rd OL drafted

Another member of “The Bomb Squad” officially ticked off the draft board Saturday.
The Detroit Lions selected LSU right guard Miles Frazier in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft with this year’s No. 171 pick overall.
The Tigers’ versatile blocker joins a pair of his fellow three-year starters along the offensive lineman in Baton Rouge in New England Patriots’ No. 4 overall pick Will Campbell and Baltimore Ravens’ third-round pick Emery Jones Jr.
This year now marks just the third time in more than 60 years — all since 2020 — in which LSU has had three offensive linemen selected in the same draft.
During a November interview sessions for his final game in Tiger Stadium, Frazier shared with reporters the significance of his three-year career in Baton Rouge, gratitude for the opportunity and desire to represent his teammates, the program and the state at a high level.

“It means a lot, and I’m not even really an emotional person, but it does get me emotional,” he said. “I came from FIU. I transferred here with coach Kelly when he first got here. And it’s just here, this is everyone’s dream. Like, every day I don’t take nothing for granted, because at the end of the day it could end just like that with injuries, with whatever, so I just want to go out there and represent — even though I’m not from here, I feel like Louisiana welcomed me with open arms, and I very much appreciate that.
“Every game, tickets aren’t cheap. This is LSU. People work their whole lives to go to just one game. So I know going into the game, I’ve got to give it my all, I’ve got to produce, I’ve got to perform. I don’t want to let those people down the same way I don’t want to let Emery or (center) D.J. (Chester) down when I play next to ’em. So, just the whole state, I just embraced it, even though I’m not from here.”
