LSU OT target Jon Daniels rises to Top 10, 5-star status
2024 Pensacola (Fla.) Pine Forest offensive tackle Jon Daniels continues to rise up the recruiting rankings, now a Top 10 prospect on the updated 2024 On300 rankings released Monday.
He’s now the No. 9 overall prospect in the country and No. 1 overall offensive tackle. He’s up from the No. 47 overall prospect in the country.
Daniels has locked in visits to Florida and LSU for the March 4 weekend, he told On3. The 6-5, 285-pounder is a top target for Brad Davis next recruiting cycle.
“I love everything about LSU, especially coach Brad. He talks to me almost every day. I will be coming down there real soon,” Daniels said. “I love the group that they have. I have offers, but not everybody communicates as well as they do. The communication is there.”

Georgia, Miami, Florida State, LSU, Auburn, Michigan State and Maryland are the other programs he listed off in January that are pushing for him. Georgia, Auburn and Florida State all hosted him for visits last month.

“Possess a gorgeous frame and is the perfect piece of clay collegiate strength and conditioning coaches crave to mold in their programs. Shows quality burst and twitch in his movements. Plays with a terrific base in pass protection. Flashes some brute strength at the point of attack. Can play a little over his toes in the run game and get a bit out of control at times. High upside prospect if he is able to refine his movements.”
