LSU punter Jay Bramblett returning for 2023 season

LSU punter Jay Bramblett is returning for the 2023 season with the Tigers, his final college football season, he announced on Twitter.
“This year was the most fun I’ve ever had playing the game and I am excited to see the future of LSU football. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to come here, I’m not ready for it to be over so, see y’all back in Baton Rouge for 2023.”
In 13 games in 2022 for LSU, Bramblett’s first season with the program, he punted 49 times for 2,181 yards, averaging 44.51 yards per kick. He sent 18 punts inside the 20-yard line.
The Tigers are coming off a 10-win season in Brian Kelly’s first season. The season ended with a 63-7 win over Purdue in the Citrus Bowl.

LSU ends season with a bang in Citrus Bowl
The win was the largest margin of victory in a bowl game in LSU history, taking advantage of a depleted Boilermakers team.
“They’ve committed to [winning] for the last few weeks and put themselves in a position to play really well today. I’m just proud of their commitment to LSU football, their commitment to wanting to be better in 2023 than we were in 2022, so this this is all about the players they played well today,” Kelly said during postgame celebrations.
“Hats go off to Purdue. They obviously competed today, and we wish them the best moving forward. But this was about LSU today and the way these kids prepared,” Kelly said during the postgame celebration.
