LSU RB Trey Holly named SEC Freshman of the Week
BATON ROUGE – Trey Holly made his LSU debut a memorable one, scoring on a 67-yard touchdown and leading the Tigers in rushing in the 62-0 win over Army on Saturday in Tiger Stadium.
As a result of his performance in the win over the Black Knights, Holly has been named the SEC Freshman of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Holly, a true freshman from Farmerville, La., rushed for 91 yards on six carries, averaging 15.2 yards a carry. His 67-yard touchdown run put the finishing touches on the 62-0 win over Army and sent the Tigers over the 200-yard mark for rushing yards for the fourth straight game.

Holly’s SEC honor is the sixth for a Tiger this year as he joins quarterback Jayden Daniels, who has been named the league’s offensive player of the week three times, Malik Nabes (SEC Offensive Player of the Week) and Emery Jones (SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week).
LSU is off this week before returning to action on November 4 when the Tigers face Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
