LSU rises two spots in latest AP Poll
LSU was on a bye week, but still managed to move up in the latest AP Poll, rising from 15 to 13 as a result of Oregon State and Utah dropping five spots each.
The Tigers are the second-highest ranked two-loss team, only behind Notre Dame by one spot. LSU’s two losses have come on the road against No. 4 Florida State and No. 11 Ole Miss this season. The Tigers have one ranked win over No. 14 Missouri on the road and are 4-1 in SEC play with a critical game against Alabama up next on the schedule.
Alabama rose one spot in the rankings, up from No. 9 to No. 8 in the AP Poll as Oklahoma dropped from No. 6 to No. 10 with a loss to Kansas.
Alabama and LSU both have an opportunity to get a massive win this weekend with the country watching and could see a significant rise in the rankings with a win. LSU also has Heisman hopeful Jayden Daniels at quarterback looking to cement himself in the conversation for best quarterback in the country.
LSU is also ranked No. 13 in the latest coaches poll, also released on Sunday.
