LSU still holds No. 1 recruiting class following On3 rankings update
The LSU football staff entered the month of February with the No. 1 recruiting class for the 2025 cycle, and that remained the case following On3’s latest rankings update.
On Monday, On3 updated the Top 300 for the 2025 class, and the Tigers held firm with the No. 1 class in college football.
LSU’s No. 1 ranking gives the Tigers the top spot over No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Georgia and No. 4 Clemson.
The class is headlined by a trio of Top 10 prospects and On3 Industry 5-stars in quarterback Bryce Underwood, wide receiver Dakorien Moore and running back Harlem Berry. All three players are ranked by On3 as No. 1 at their respective positions.
Of LSU’s nine commitments, five total are ranked by On3 as Top 100 recruits – which includes a newcomer in four-star offensive lineman Devin Harper.
Here’s the rundown on LSU’s 2025 commitments as the calendar inches closer to March and the final week of the NCAA’s month-long Dead Period.
QB Bryce Underwood … The No. 1 overall prospect in America remains Underwood, a 5-star+ quarterback who announced his commitment to LSU in January. Following Jayden Daniels winning the Heisman Trophy and the Tigers finishing with the No. 1 offense in the NCAA, a commitment from Underwood went down as one of the program’s biggest in the modern recruiting era.
RB Harlem Berry … The nation’s No. 1 running back committed to LSU in January, and Berry returned to campus for the program’s recruiting event on the final weekend of January. Berry is ranked by On3 as the No. 10 overall prospect in America, which gives the Tigers a trio of five-stars with commitments at quarterback, wide receiver and running back. Berry remains the No. 1 prospect in Louisiana.
WR Dakorien Moore … There are no wide receivers in America ranked higher by On3 than Moore, a Duncanville (Texas) product who is ranked as the No. 1 wideout in the 2025 cycle. Moore committed to LSU over Texas, and he’s maintained that he’s firm with his verbal commitment. Moore is ranked as a 5-star+ prospect, meaning he’s carrying a five-star ranking with all four of the major recruiting services. He’s also the No. 1 prospect in the Lone Star State, regardless of position.

WR TaRon Francis … The four-star out of New Orleans has been tabbed with the nickname “Manchild” by the Edna Karr staff, and for good reason. He remained Louisiana’s top-ranked wide receiver on On3, and Francis has backed it up with big showings on Friday nights. The early 1-2 punch of Francis and Moore is one of the country’s best.
TE JD LaFleur … LaFleur, the son of former LSU All-American tight end David LaFleur, shut down his recruitment early and got on board with the Tigers. The Sulphur High standout shot up the latest On3 rankings, moving into the Top 200 nationally and up four spots at the tight end position.
OL Brett Bordelon … Bordelon, the son of former LSU offensive lineman Ben Bordelon and brother of current LSU offensive lineman Bo Bordelon, is ranked as the No. 2 offensive lineman in Louisiana Louisiana and a Top 25 prospect nationally at the position.
OL Devin Harper … The Shreveport (La.) offensive lineman made the biggest jump among LSU’s nine-man commitment list. Harper went from outside the Top 200 as the nation’s No. 14 interior offensive lineman all the way into the Top 100 and the No. 7 interior offensive line prospect in the class. Now, Harper is ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the Bayou State.
CB Jaboree Antoine … Antoine’s commitment to the Tigers on January 27 boosted LSU’s top-ranked class even further. The Tigers need to build the cornerback room back up, and Antoine is Louisiana’s No. 2 prospect and one of the Top 10 cornerbacks in America.
LB Keylan Moses … The University High standout is the leader of LSU’s recruiting class and certainly one of the most active voices in the country when it comes to propping up his future program. Moses is ranked as a four-star and a Top 5 prospect in Louisiana on the On3 Industry Rankings following his junior season.
