Louisiana's Albert Simien debuts as No. 1 IOL in On300 Rankings

Sam Houston star and LSU target Albert Simien debuted this week as the top-ranked interior offensive line prospect in the first On300 for the 2027 class.
The Broncos’ left tackle and multisport standout, one of the home-state Tigers’ early priorities in the class, ranked No. 11 overall on the national list, No. 4 among all offensive linemen and No. 2 among all Louisiana prospects.
LSU extended Simien his first college offer in late September, making him one of the first four in-state prospects in the 2027 class — along with quarterbacks Elijah Haven (Dunham) and Peyton “Pop” Houston (Evangel Christian) and tight end Ahmad Hudson (Ruston) to earn that distinction.
He is still the state’s lone offensive lineman in the 2027 class to hold an offer from coach Brian Kelly, offensive line coach Brad Davis and company.
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound athlete is a stout, powerful mauler for Sam Houston who fires off the ball well, explodes through defenders and shows impressive motor and mobility to get up the field and out ahead of his ball-carriers in the run game.

Notre Dame, Alabama, Oklahoma, Sacramento State and Nebraska have been among the most recent programs to join Simien’s early offer list, which began the new calendar year with LSU, Tennessee, Houston, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Lamar and McNeese State.
Simien has already visited LSU on a few occasions during the past year, including the program’s Junior Day event in early February.
“It was great,” Simien told The Bengal Tiger’s Tyler Harden following the most recent trip to Baton Rouge. “Getting to talk with the offensive line coaches one-on-one and getting to learn more about The Path of LSU football and the importance of balancing academics and athletics for success.”
Jesuit edge rusher Zyron Forstall, at No. 3 in the nation and No. 2 at his position, and Simien lead a strong Louisiana contingent on the initial On300 for the 2027 class.
