LSU trending for Louisiana's top uncommitted DL
LSU is trending on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for 2024 Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian defensive lineman Gabriel Reliford. The four-star prospect backed off his committed to Texas A&M on Sunday after his official visit to Baton Rouge.
Reliford committed to the Aggies over the summer, but now reopened his recruitment after coaching changes in College Station. On3’s Sam Spiegelman logged an On3 RPM pick for the Tigers. Reliford will now make a commitment on Saturday at 2 p.m. from his high school.
LSU has a chance to bolster their 2024 class in a big way in the form of Reliford, the No. 228 overall prospect and No. 23 DL in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
On3 ranks Reliford much higher than other recruiting services, as he checks in as the No. 59 recruit and No. 7 DL in the On300.

Reliford collected an offer from LSU over the summer and made two visits to Baton Rouge this fall before his official visit. USC extended an offer in the direction of one of The Boot’s best amid his strong senior campaign. Reliford took an official visit to Los Angeles in November.
“They have been pressing hard, of course, but they have also been respecting my boundaries, which I appreciate,” Reliford said of the Tigers and Trojans, the teams working hard to try and change his mind.
A priority of need for LSU in 2024 cycle, Reliford has piled up 251 tackles over the past two seasons. He has 15 sacks in that span. The 6-foot-2.5, 255-pounder from North Louisiana led the state in sacks each of the past two seasons.
