LSU WBB makes final six for top-10 prospect Divine Bourrage
Divine Bourrage, the No. 7 player in the 2025 class according to On3 has released the final six teams remaining in her recruitment and as we had reported, LSU is squarely in the mix. The Tigers are joined in the top six by Illinois, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Baylor, and Arizona. Bourrage, a 5-foot-9 versatile guard from Iowa has an official visit scheduled from Sept. 20-22 at LSU.
Bourrage is a consensus top 10 player in the country and was named Iowa’s Gatorade Player of the Year. She averaged 19.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 5.6 assists and three steals this past season, leading Davenport North to a 22-3 record, a Mississippi Athletic Conference title and an Iowa Class 5A state tournament quarterfinals appearance.
“From the time she came in as a freshman, you knew she was going to be a special player,” North coach Paul Rucker told KWQC 6. “What she’s done over the last three years is continually growing. Sometimes when you have great players, they rest on their laurels. She doesn’t do that. With her, the potential for her is off the charts.”
Bourrage is clearly high on LSU’s board and is someone Kim Mulkey and assistant Gary Redus have continued to recruit throughout the summer months as her recruitment has picked up.

LSU already has a commitment from Bella Hines, another top-25 player in the class and scheduled official visits with Ayla McDowell, Zakiyah Johnson, JUCO forward Pania Davis, Grace Knox, while also working on setting one with Aaliyah Chavez.
The Tigers added just one freshman in the 2024 class in Jada Richard, but added four players from the transfer portal with three having multiple years of eligibility remaining. The likes of Mikaylah Williams, Flau’Jae Johnson and Aneesah Morrow are set to lead LSU this year into another season among the top teams in the country, but the coaching staff continue to look ahead to the future with the critical class of 2025 on the horizon.
