The first LSU player to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft made his announcement Tuesday.

Left tackle Will Campbell, a three-year starter for the Tigers, shared via social media his decision to forego his remaining college eligibility and begin his professional career.

“There aren’t enough words to describe the impact LSU, the Baton Rouge community and the state of Louisiana has had on my life,” Campbell posted. “Over the past three years, I was blessed to live out my childhood dream of being an LSU Tiger. I give all the glory to God for these opportunities.”

The 6-foot-6, 323-pound standout has consistently been ranked and mock-drafted as one of the top offensive lineman — and, more often than not, the No. 1 lineman — by several outlets and a top-10 overall pick.

His message went on to thank his coaches, support staff and teammates with the Tigers, the fan base and his family before ultimately sharing the news.

“After much prayer and discussion with my family, I will forego my final year of eligibility at LSU and declare for the 2025 NFL Draft,” he said. “I will always cherish my team at LSU. Thank you, Tiger Nation. Forever LSU.”

Campbell arrived to Baton Rouge in 2022 after a decorated high school career at Neville, immediately earned the starting role and has been a leader for LSU ever since.

He earned All-SEC honors each of his first two seasons, with postseason awards for this season yet to be announced, and was a Freshman All-American selection by multiple entities in 2022.
