LSU WR Khai Prean enters NCAA Transfer Portal
LSU wide receiver Khai Prean entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Wednesday with a do not contact tag, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. After redshirting in 2023, he’ll have four years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Prean ranked as the No. 408 overall prospect in the country and No. 14 athlete nationally.
Prean picked the Tigers over Auburn, Florida State, Mississippi State, Tennessee and numerous others in his recruitment when coming out of St. James High in Louisiana.
St. James Head Coach LaVanta Davis talked about Prean with On3 during his recruitment about what he brings to the team. He credited his ability to being dynamic, along with his attitude and work ethic. Now, Prean will look to bring that to another program.

“He’s a dynamic player, he’s a great student athlete, student first, good athlete, he’s a great, humble kid, his parents did a great job with him and his brother,” Davis said. “So we’re excited to have great leadership to the team, he brings work ethic to the team, he brings passion.”
Prean joined fellow 2023 signee and LSU defensive end Jaxon Howard in the NCAA Transfer Portal. Howard entered on the first day of the spring window, which runs from April 16-30.
