LSU starting right tackle Emery Jones has made his decision on returning to college vs. entering the 2025 NFL Draft.

On Thursday, Jones announced his plans to enter the 2025 NFL Draft, meaning LSU will be replacing both starting offensive tackles ahead of next season.

LSU starting left tackle Will Campbell had already announced his decision to enter the 2025 NFL Draft. Both started at offensive tackle for the Tigers as true freshmen, then kept the starting jobs for three straight seasons.

Campbell and Jones are both viewed as potential guard prospects at the NFL level despite both playing offensive tackle in college, giving them versatility as NFL franchises evaluate the offensive line class ahead of the draft.

Jones was recently named a Second-Team All-SEC performer after another solid year with the Tigers.

Jones and Campbell were joined by LSU starting tight end Mason Taylor with announcements of turning pro. Taylor, who also started three straight seasons, leaves LSU as the program’s all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards by a tight end.

Jones started in 36 of the 38 games he played during his time at LSU, and the Baton Rouge native logged 886 snaps as a true freshman, 708 snaps as a sophomore and 864 snaps on offense this past season – tied for second-most on that side of the football and just two shorts of Campbell’s team-high 866 snaps played in 2024. In total, Jones played 2,458 snaps for LSU as a three-year starter.

Jones was a Top 100 prospect in the 2022 class, signing with LSU out of Catholic High in Baton Rouge as the No. 6 interior offensive lineman on the On3 Industry Rankings.
