LSU's grand slam sparks late-game win
LSU trailed by four runs in both the second and seventh innings of a game two matchup with another Top 10 team in South Carolina.
Then, LSU’s late-game magic at the plate arrived to send the two programs into a series-deciding final game on Friday afternoon.

With the Gamecocks closing in on taking the series with a win, LSU second baseman Gavin Dugas hit a grand slam in eighth inning to tie the game at 7-7.

In the ninth, LSU designated hitter Cade Beloso came through with the go-ahead RBI single to give No. 1 LSU an 8-7 victory over No. 6 South Carolina on Friday at Founders Park in Columbia.
With the win the Tigers move to 26-5 on the season and 7-4 in conference play, while the Gamecocks fall to 28-4 on the year and 9-2 in SEC action.

Game 3 comes quickly
With bad weather expected on Friday evening and into the weekend, the series was pushed up to one game on Thursday night and two games on Friday – one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
LSU returns to action one hour after the completion of Game 2 for the second game of the doubleheader and the series finale of the SEC matchup with South Carolina.
The contest can be streamed on SEC Network+ and can be heard on the LSU Sports Radio Network affiliates.
