Tracking LSU’s Wide Receivers
The Reaction: It was about as bad of a day as Boutte could have turned in when it came to testing. Boutte said he was shooting for the 4.3-range in the 40-yard dash, but he run unofficial times of 4.50 and 4.67. Boutte’s 29-inch vertical was the lowest among all wide receivers at the combine, and his broad jump was second-worst among the receivers. There’s still LSU’s Pro Day, so Boutte has a chance to bounce back with better numbers. But the likelihood after the combine will be Boutte continues to trend down on draft boards.

*****
The Reaction: Jenkins didn’t have a great day testing, either. His 4.60 40-yard dash was the fifth-slowest time among the wide receivers at the combine, while his 29.5″ vertical jump was the second-lowest among wide receivers. Only Boutte’s 29″ vertical was lower. Jenkins and Boutte were the lone two skill players to not hit at least 30-inches on the vertical jump.
