Meet LSU's new 5-star offer, OT Immanuel Iheanacho
2026 Baltimore (Md.) Georgetown Prep Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho added an LSU offer this week, adding to his huge list of scholarships.
He’s already got a plan in place for his recruitment, which is beginning to pick up in a big way.
“I will start taking official visits in the spring, then finish in the summer and I should be ready to commit before my senior year,” Iheanacho told Simmons back in August. “I am mentally preparing for the process and all that comes with it right now, so I will get out to see some games this season to help me find the right schools.”
Iheanacho is the No. 3 overall prospect and No. 2 OT in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked player in Maryland.
According to On3’s Steve Wiltfong, Iheanacho is feeling what it’s like to be recruited as a five-star prospect already. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has Penn State as the team to beat.

“The Baltimore (Md.) Georgetown Prep product has been to Penn State several times including the undefeated Nittany Lions victory over Illinois,” Wiltfong wrote. “They are the program that looks to be setting the pace early but Iheanacho was at Maryland on Saturday to see the Terps rally to beat USC. Oregon was an eye-opening visit at the end of July for Saturday Night Live. Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee are a few others Simmons says he wants to get to for games this fall.”
Immanuel Iheanacho Scouting Summary
On3 writes this of Iheanacho:
“We came away from this initial ranking process feeling that Iheanacho had the best sophomore film among the top offensive tackles. Iheanacho blends excellent, ready-made size with advanced flexibility, power and functional movement skills. He plays with outstanding pad level, using his bend and understanding of leverage to get underneath the pads of defenders. Iheanacho fires off the ball and moves defenders at will once engaged. He’s a light footed mover, both as a run blocker and in pass protection, drawing on his basketball background. The movement skills look to be translatable as a pass protector, as he plays with balance and control. We also see Iheanacho flash his athleticism as a disruptive defensive lineman.”
