Mjracle Sheppard is sixth LSU player to enter Transfer Portal

The LSU Women’s Basketball team has had another player enter the NCAA Transfer Portal: guard Mjracle Sheppard.
On3’s Talia Goodman was first to report the breaking news out of the LSU program.
The Kent (Wash.) native transferred into LSU ahead of the 2024-25 season after suiting up for Mississippi State a year ago.
During her time at LSU, Sheppard played in 32 games with two starts, helping LSU reach the Elite Eight/ She averaged 3.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game with 32 steals and 21 assists on the year.
Sheppard scored in double figures in five of her 32 games played at LSU, scoring a season-high 12 points in her first start of the season in the SEC Tournament Quarterfinals against Florida. She also played a key role on defense, notably in the Round of 32 matchup with Florida State and the NCAA’s leading scorer in Ta’Niya Latson.
LSU’s trip to Spokane for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games brought Sheppard back to her home state, which gave her family and friends the opportunity to pack the LSU section in support of the Tigers.
Now, one year after arriving at LSU, Sheppard is back in the Transfer Portal with two years of eligibility remaining.
Sheppard is a former 4-star recruit in the 2023 class who has now spent time at both Mississippi State and LSU after attending Montverde Academy, where she was ranked as the No. 86 overall prospect in the class with offers from Florida, Georgia, Xavier, and others.

In her lone season with the Bulldogs, Sheppard appeared in all 35 games with one start, playing 17.7 minutes per game and averaging 5 points per game on 43.2 percent shooting from the field. She totaled 72 assists to 50 turnovers with 48 steals as well, proving to be a versatile player for a Mississippi State team that ended the year 23-12 overall and 8-8 in SEC play.
Sheppard is the sixth LSU player to enter the Transfer Portal this offseason, joining Sa’Myah Smith, 6-2, F, Soph. (6.6 ppg, 6.4 rpg), Amani Bartlett, 6-3, F, Sr. (0.6 ppg), Last-Tear Poa, 5-11, G, Sr. (2 ppg), Aalyah Del Rosario, 6-6, C, Soph. (2 ppg), and Jersey Wolfenbarger, 6-5, F, Jr. (4.6 ppg).
