On3 circles LSU's Malik Nabers as a Top 10 WR
On3 Sports is counting down the Top 10 players at each position ahead of the 2023 college football season.
On Thursday, On3 released the rankings for the Top 10 wide receivers, which included an LSU Tiger.
Junior wide receiver Malik Nabers landed at No. 6 after turning in a huge sophomore season this past fall.
Nabers surpassed Kayshon Boutte as LSU’s No. 1 wide receiver, and he became the first LSU wide receiver to finish with 1,000-plus receiving yards since Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase reached the mark during the 2019 National Championship season.
“The standout receiver for the Tigers last season, Nabers topped the 1,000-yard mark in an LSU offense that didn’t really kick things fully into gear until late in the season,” said the On3 staff. “Even so, Nabers finished with 72 catches for 1,017 yards and three touchdowns. He’ll be counted on for even more this fall.”
Nabers led LSU in both catches and yards, but his touchdown total (3) is one the staff will certainly look to improve upon during his third season with the team.

Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. ranked No. 1 on the list, followed by Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy. Another OSU receiver landed in the top three in Emeka Egbuka, and Washington’s Rome Odunze and Texas A&M’s Ainias Smith rounded out the top five.
Florida State’s Johnny Wilson, who the Tigers will face in the season opener, checked in just after Nabers at No. 7. Arizona’s Dorian Singer, South Carolina’s Antwane Wells Jr., and Washington’s Jalen McMillan rounded out the Top 10.
Nabers will be the clearcut No. 1 wide receiver for LSU in 2023, followed by returning players like Brian Thomas Jr., Kyren Lacy, Chris Hilton and Landon Ibieta.
The Tigers added a key transfer in Alabama’s Aaron Anderson, who is expected to compete for playing time immediately at both receiver and in the return game on special teams. LSU also signed four high school receivers in Shelton Sampson Jr., Jalen Brown, Kyle Parker and Khai Prean.
