The LSU football staff’s No. 1 recruiting class remains intact following the latest shuffle to the On3 Rankings for the 2025 cycle.

The Tigers had a trio of commitments check in as Top 10 overall prospects, regardless of position. With the No. 1 overall position players at quarterback, running back and wide receiver, the LSU staff is well positioned to keep the NCAA’s top offense from the 2023 season rolling into the future.

Here’s the rundown on the seven commitments in the On3 Top 300, how the in-state rankings shuffled out, and a look at some notable uncommitted prospects who remain high on LSU’s wish list for the 2025 cycle.

QB Bryce Underwood – No. 1 overall … Underwood stayed put as the No. 1 overall prospect in America, giving the LSU staff a verbal pledge from the highest-ranked recruit in the 2025 class. Underwood, who committed to the Tigers in January, has maintained he’s locked in with LSU.

WR Dakorien Moore – No. 3 overall … The No. 1 wide receiver in America remains Moore, who popped for LSU ahead of his junior season at Duncanville. He flashed once again on Friday nights this fall and was a key piece to Duncanville’s state title run.

RB Harlem Berry – No. 10 overall … LSU has a trio of commitments ranked inside On3’s Top 10, with Berry checking into the On3 Top 300 as the No. 1 prospect in Louisiana. Berry is also ranked by On3 as the No. 1 running back in the 2025 class, giving the Tigers three commitments from No. 1 prospects at their respective positions.

CB Jaboree Antoine – No. 53 overall … Antoine’s On3 rankings now matches his On3 Industry Ranking, with the Westgate target landing at No. 53 in the Top 300 ahead of his senior season next fall. Antoine remains a Top 10 cornerback nationally, and he’s got the versatility to play nickel and even safety. Antoine is ranked as Louisiana’s No. 2 overall prospect for the 2025 cycle.

OL Devin Harper – No. 98 overall … Harper made the biggest jump of all LSU’s commitments, going from outside the Top 200 as the nation’s No. 14 interior offensive lineman all the way into the Top 100 and the No. 7 interior offensive line prospect in the class. Now, Harper is ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the Bayou State.

TE JD LaFleur – No. 199 overall … Another big jump came from LaFleur, who moved from No. 234 overall into the Top 200. LaFleur had previously been ranked as On3’s No. 15 tight end prospect, but following a strong junior season, the LSU commitment moved up to the No. 11 tight end in the country.

WR TaRon Francis – No. 237 overall … Francis stayed put as a four-star, a Top 250 prospect and the No. 1 wide receiver in the state of Louisiana. LSU has commitments in from the No. 1 wide receivers in both Louisiana and Texas.

*** Linebacker Keylan Moses and interior offensive lineman Brett Bordelon both slid back in the latest On3 Rankings, but remain four-star prospects on the On3 Industry Rankings. Moses is the leader of LSU’s recruiting class and certainly one of the most active voices in the country when it comes to propping up his future program, and he’s ranked as a four-star and a Top 5 prospect in Louisiana on the On3 Industry Rankings following his junior season. Bordelon now checks in as an On3 Industry four-star, a Top 10 prospect in Louisiana and a Top 25 interior offensive lineman nationally.

*** Louisiana running back James Simon, who remains uncommitted, moved up to No. 103 overall and is now a 92 rating with On3. The move – up 20 spots overall – comes after a big junior season that saw Simon put on a show in the LHSAA State Championships.

*** The Bengal Tiger staff circled this name over a month ago, and now another Louisiana running back has emerged as one of America’s best prospects. Alexandria running back JT Lindsey has gone from unranked to a four-star and No. 143 overall in the latest On3 Top 300, making him the No. 11 running back in the country. If the Tigers land both Berry and Simon, will LSU running backs coach Frank Wilson also make a move on Lindsey. Stay tuned.

*** The LSU staff has a number of top targets that have emerged from outside the state, and On3’s latest rankings update saw a handful of them shoot up the On3 Top 300 in a big way.

Five-star DJ Pickett has moved from safety to cornerback, where he checks in as not only the No. 1 cornerback, but the No. 4 overall recruit in the cycle. Ohio State commits Na’eem Offord and Devin Sanchez, who newly-hired secondary coach Corey Raymond has actively pursued, both checked in as Top 10 overall recruits. Texas four-star Dorian Brew, an LSU legacy, made a massive jump – going from No. 53 overall to No. 21 overall, putting him into five-star range. Texas four-star Cobey Sellers also stayed put in the Top 150.

Texas wide receiver Kaliq Lockett has soared from No. 122 overall to No. 13 overall, putting him firmly in five-star range. Other LSU wide receiver targets with notable rankings include Mississippi’s Caleb Cunningham at No. 20 overall, Florida’s Jamie Ffrench checked in at No. 41 overall, Georgia’s CJ Wiley moved into the Top 100 at No. 86 overall and Florida’s Cortez Mills moved up to No. 153 overall.

LSU has two offensive linemen committed, and the latest On3 rankings saw a number of targets land in the On3 Top 300. That included names like four-stars Tyler Miller at No. 32 overall, Lamont Rogers at No. 58 overall and Micah Debose at No. 141 overall.
