On Monday, On3 released an initial Top 100 Watch List for the 2026 class – and Louisiana was well-represented.

LSU has already offered seven prospects from the Bayou State’s list of 2026 prospects, and five made On3’s Top 100 Watch List. There is no order to the current rankings, and each recruit is rated as either a 90 or 91 as a four-star.

The 2026 class, a group of recruits who are beginning their sophomore seasons of high school football this fall, is expected to be a deep year in the Bayou State.

And with the initial Top 100 Watch List made up of prospects who played as freshmen, there will be plenty more names to keep a close eye on as recruits emerge during their sophomore year.

Here’s a closer look at the five Louisiana names on the list, as well as a glance at two more Bayou State prospects that have landed an offer from LSU’s staff.

Louisiana sophomores on the On3 Top 100 Watch List

Jahkeem Stewart – St. Augustine (New Orleans) – DL … Stewart didn’t play his freshman season due to a transfer ruling, but he’s already a household name for recruiting fans given he stacked up college offers as a middle school prospect. At 6-foot-6, 280 pounds, Stewart will be one of the most-coveted prospects in the entire 2026 class. There are plenty of eyes on his debut season of high school this fall at St. Augustine.

Blaine Bradford – Catholic High (Baton Rouge) – S … Bradford is one of the most physically impressive defensive backs in the country for the 2026 class, and the 6-foot-1, 195 pounder already has a double-digit offer list that includes LSU, Georgia and more. Academics will play a big role here, so keep an eye on programs like Notre Dame and Vanderbilt.

Lamar Brown – University High – OL/DL (Baton Rouge) … Brown is one of the most impressive two-way players in the 2026 class, grabbing college offers as both an offensive lineman and defensive lineman. LSU hosted Brown multiple times over the summer, and the Tigers are considered the early frontrunner for the Baton Rouge native and U-High star.

Richard Anderson – Edna Karr – DL (New Orleans) … If you aren’t familiar with Anderson, put him on your radar for the future. The Edna Karr defensive lineman is already 6-foot-4, 280 pounds, and he has offers from LSU, Ole Miss, Florida State and Texas A&M. Expect that number to grow in a hurry as he begins his sophomore season this fall.

Aiden Hall – Edna Karr – S (New Orleans) … Edna Karr is the lone Louisiana high school to land a pair of names on the On3 Top 100 Watch List for the 2026 class. Hall, a 6-foot-1, 175-pounder, has college offers from eight teams, which includes SEC programs like LSU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Arkansas. He’s already viewed as one of the best young safeties in the country.

Two more Bayou State recruits with an LSU offer

The five Louisiana prospects on the On3 Top 100 Watch List all hold offers from the LSU staff, as do two more sophomores in the Bayou State.

Jalan Chapman – Warren Easton – OL (New Orleans) … New Orleans is home to a pair of defensive linemen on the Top 100 Watch List, but one of the city’s best offensive lineman is also worth keeping an eye on. Chapman landed an offer from the Tigers following LSU’s Elite Camp camp this summer.

Darryus McKinnley – Acadiana High – DL (Lafayette) … McKinnley is the most recent prospect to get an offer from the LSU staff, which came during a visit to campus at the end of July. Seven colleges have now offered him a verbal scholarship, and that includes four programs (LSU, Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma) that are battling for his brother’s commitment (2024 five-star Dominick McKinley).
