BREAKING: Oregon transfer Bradyn Swinson commits to LSU

LSU landed a commitment from Oregon transfer EDGE Bradyn Swinson, he announced on Twitter after his official visit to Baton Rouge.
This year, he tallied eight tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss. Swinson has three years to play two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Swinson has spent three seasons at Oregon, finishing with 35 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, three pass breakups and a forced fumble before entering the transfer portal.
Swinson played high school football at Douglasville (Ga.) Chapel Hill, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 486 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Brian Kelly, LSU eyeing strong recruiting finish
Kelly and his staff wrapped up hosting the last official visitors of 2022 with multiple top targets in Baton Rouge. On Wednesday, the early signing period begins and Kelly is looking at adding over 30 newcomers for 2023.
“We’re going to identify the best prospects throughout the country and you’ll see that in this signing class. We’ll have players from the northeast, the midwest, the west coast. But our base will be Louisiana and the south,” Kelly said on Saturday. “When you’re LSU and you have a brand that’s so recognizable, you can’t have blinders on either. Our scope and vision is national but it’s not like we’re pulling four guys out of every state. We’re gonna have a heavy influence in the state of Louisiana, like we should.”
LSU has 25 commitments in the 2023 recruiting class, which ranks No. 7 according to the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. LSU also added Alabama transfer wide receiver Aaron Anderson this week.
