Former LSU linebacker Patrick Queen will make his second straight Pro Bowl appearance, the NFL announced Wednesday heading into this weekend’s festivities.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ linebacker, in his first season with the franchise, was selected as a replacement for former teammate Roquan Smith of the Baltimore Ravens, where Queen played the first four seasons of his career.

The former Livonia star finished the season with a team-high 129 tackles, including six for loss, and seven passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a recovery.

LSU will now have nine representatives in the event at 2 p.m. Sunday at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

Queen joins Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, Houston Texans defensive end Danielle Hunter and cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. and Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. on the AFC roster.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson and New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers will play for the NFC.

All three of LSU’s 2024 first-round draftees — Daniels, Nabers and Thomas — ultimately earned selections after record-breaking rookies seasons.

Stingley, in his third season, also earned his first selection.

His teammate, Hunter, leads the group with a fifth selection — the most among the Tigers’ alumni still active in the league this season. Ten-time Pro-Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson was released by Pittsburgh in the spring and did not play this season, but has not retired and has reportedly remained open to playing again.

The Tigers’ recent Heisman trophy-winning quarterbacks, Burrow and Daniels, were both among the top four leaders in overall voting.

Chase was also a leading vote-getter among AFC wide receivers.

Louisiana native KaVontae Turpin, the former Neville and TCU star, was selected as the NFC’s starting return specialist.

Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb, born in Opelousas before growing up in Texas after Hurricane Katrina, joins Jefferson and Nabers among the NFC receivers.
