Podcast: LSU reels in 4-star RB Caden Durham
Duncanville (Tex.) running back Caden Durham committed to LSU, he announced on Thursday on On3’s YouTube channel. Durham gives the Tigers an elite pledge in 2024. Shea Dixon and Billy Embody break down the news in the latest Bengal Tiger Podcast below.
LSU beat out the likes of Michigan State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and others for the Lone Star State prospect.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Durham ranks as the No. 105 overall prospect in the country and No. 8 running back nationally.
His official visit in June was impressive, but he also enjoyed his time at the Bayou Splash in July, helping seal the deal.

“It was good, felt like family out there. All good, everybody was brothers, it felt good,” Durham told On3 of the official viist. “I’d say it was kind of different, but every trip to LSU is going to be good because of the people there.”
LSU running backs coach Frank Wilson turned up the heat with help from recruiting specialist Sherman Wilson. Durham’s the only running back that’ll be in the 2024 recruiting class.
“It was all good. Me and coach Frank, we clicked. He talked about what he’d do with me as a running back, how successful I could be, if I came there,” Durham said. “50-50 because I like the fact that I’m the only running back they’re recruiting, but then again, if they were to recruit more, I really wouldn’t care because I like competing for my spot regardless.”
