Underwood, who committed on Saturday, had Alabama, Colorado, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Oregon and Penn State as his finalists before picking the Tigers. Per the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, the product of Belleville (MI.) High School is the No. 1 overall recruit in the country.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Berry is the No. 11 overall prospect in the nation and No. 1 prospect in Louisiana. Berry picked LSU over programs like Florida, Texas, Texas A&M and others.
For LSU, the Tigers get Berry into the talented 2025 recruiting class that is off to a huge start.
“Coach Kelly calls me the best running back, the best in the state, and he’s very complimentary. Everything he talks about — how he wants to use, the energy he gives — it’s very complimentary,” Berry told On3.
