ZaKiyah Johnson — SIGNED
11/13/2024 09:24:56 AM6-foot guard from Shelbyville, Kentucky
On3 Ranking — No. 4 overall, No. 1 shooting guard
Skillset — A physical guard who can score at every level and has a smooth shooting stroke , Johnson can absolutely fill it up. Her wingspan and strength set her up to be a versatile wing who can use her body similar to Mikaylah Williams, getting the ball on the block or in the midpost and backing girls down. There’s rebounding and defensive potential that LSU will certainly capitalize on and her feel for the game at this size is truly special, handling and passing with either hand.
Quote — “I picked LSU for their culture,” Johnson said. “I know coach Mulkey and her players know what it takes to be on the big stage and win a championship and I want to be competing with player I hadn’t seen normally, living here in Kentucky my whole life. Now it’s time to explore and I love how they made it still feel like home.”
Kim Mulkey’s Take — “ZaKiyah brings size and athleticism to our backcourt. Her versatility is a huge part of her game. From scoring to rebounding and defending she can affect the game in a variety of ways! Tiger fans are going to love the energy and winning tradition ‘Z’ brings to the PMAC!”
Divine Bourrage — SIGNED
11/13/2024 10:04:47 AM6-foot guard from Davenport, Iowa
On3 Ranking — No. 7 overall, No. 2 shooting guard
Skillset — An excellent combo guard with the size to play 1-3 on both ends. LSU loves her ball handling, self creation, and passing ability, which opens the door to her playing point guard often throughout her career at LSU. She is a reliable shooter who has been able to catch fire at times and is comfortable in the mid range and off the dribble with a step back going to her left. She sets everything up with her driving ability and her knack for getting to the free throw line. There’s real defensive upside here with her size, especially at the point guard position.
Quote — “It’s a dream come true. I’ve been a big Kim Mulkey fan for a long time, so when they hit me up and offered me I almost cried about that. I’ve talked to coach Mulkey a lot over the phone and she’s big on family, so it makes sense she’s like that with her players.”
Kim Mulkey’s Take — “Divine can do it all on the perimeter. At her size, she can play all three guard positions. She elevates her team when she is on the court with her unselfish passing and skillful attack off the dribble. We can’t wait to have Divine competing in the purple and gold.”
Bella Hines — SIGNED
11/13/2024 11:01:44 AM5-foot-9 guard from Albuquerque, New Mexico
On3 Ranking — No. 24 overall, No. 7 point guard
Skillset — An elite shooter and versatile scorer, Hines is one of the best pure scorers in the 2025 class and has started her senior season with multiple 50-point outings to further show her talent level. She’s played alongside and against some of the top competition in the country on the Nike EYBL circuit and has shown the ability to play both on ball and off ball as a floor spacer. Hines has excellent patience on offense and finds creases in defenses well. Interested to see her continue to grow as a shooter to make her immediately playable at the next level. She’s a smart player who can hold her own on defense, but has work to do once she gets to LSU. A bonafide top 25 talent in this class.
Quote — “They recruited me really hard. Just knowing who they are and their name I know they didn’t have to recruit me that hard, but they’ve been on me the most of any team which is a blessing because it’s LSU and I’ve wanted to play for coach Mulkey since I was younger. Being able to be recruited by them is such a blessing and I’ve built really strong relationships with coach G and coach Mulkey.”
Kim Mulkey’s Take — “Bella has a knack for scoring the ball. She is a standout three-point shooter which is something we were looking for in this class. Not only can she score but she also has a top-level commitment to defense. Bella has had a great start to her senior year and is proving to be a game changer on both ends of the floor. We are excited she is officially an LSU Tiger.”
Grace Knox — SIGNED
11/13/2024 12:00:36 PM6-foot-2 forward from Rancho Cucamonga, California
On3 Ranking — No. 13 overall, No. 3 small forward
Skillset — At 6-foot-2, Knox is able to impact the game at every level and showed her versatility on one of the best high school teams in the country with Etiwanda last year. Physically, she’s strong enough to dominate at the high school level and wrestle away rebounds and mentally I think she sees the game at a high level, getting to the right spots on offense and finishing. Defensively is where I’m most intrigued with her athleticism showing on blocked shots and her athleticism allowing her to move her feet and potentially guard 3-5 at the next level. She has a nice feel on her jumper and her game reminds me of Aneesah Morrow’s in a way.
Quote — “I think when I first went on my visit, I felt like there was no sense of awkwardness and there was a sense of belonging,” Knox told On3. “I felt very comfortable with everybody throughout the whole entire trip. I was comfortable during the other trips, but with LSU, it kind of just felt right within myself… “I think I can go to the next level with the coaching of Kim Mulkey. I think she has what it takes to take me to the next level and help me develop my bag. I think that another big reason is, along with all the schools, I could have great branding opportunities. I just feel like LSU exceeds the expectation as of right now in basketball. I feel like it’s the best place to be if you want to be branded correctly and for your name to be out there.”
Kim Mulkey’s Take — “Grace is gifted with an incredible ability to rebound. Her tenacity on the boards combined with her all-around offensive skill set make her a tough matchup. We look forward to Grace having an immediate impact on our team and are excited to see all that she accomplishes at LSU.”
