The LSU football staff will host one final weekend of official visitors before the NCAA’s dead period arrives, which puts an end to a jam-packed month of June.

The Tigers are set to host five official visitors, a group that includes a trio of offensive linemen who are all top targets for the LSU staff.

Here’s a look at the current list of official visitors, a group that could grow in numbers if the staff decides to add any other recruits ahead of Friday’s start date.

LSU Official Visitors (5)

Weston Davis – Beaumont United (Beaumont, Texas) – 4-star OT

Davis makes a strong case to be considered one of the best offensive linemen in the country. On3 has Davis ranked as the No. 3 offensive tackle in the 2024 class and the No. 23 overall prospect, regardless of position. He visited Tiger Stadium for a game in the fall, and now he’s set for a full weekend on campus. It gives the LSU staff their best chance yet to buckle in and build a deeper relationship with Davis and his family, which is key given there’s stiff competition for the four-star. Texas A&M got the first official visit in June, followed by official visits to Oklahoma and Alabama. Now, LSU lands the final official visit of the month. Texas A&M holds the On3 Recruiting Prediction (RPM) lead (32%), while the Tigers aren’t far behind in the No. 2 spot (28%).

Blake Ivy – Clear Springs (League City, Texas) – 4-star OL

While Weston Davis checks in as the No. 3 offensive tackle on On3, Ivy is ranked as the No. 3 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 class. Texas A&M holds the On3 RPM lead for Ivy, with LSU sitting in the No. 2 spot. Can the weekend visit tip the scales in LSU’s favor? Texas doesn’t seem to be as big of a threat as the Longhorns once seemed, which means this could be a battle that comes down to LSU or Texas A&M.

Ethan Calloway – Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC) – 4-star OT

At 6-foot-7, 300 pounds, Calloway is one of the more intriguing offensive tackle prospects in the 2024 class. He’s ranked by On3 as a Top 10 offensive tackle and Top 100 prospect nationally, and now the Tigers get a chance to swing for the fences with the East Coast standout. The official visit comes at a perfect time given Calloway will announce his decision on June 30 – just five days after he leaves Baton Rouge. Florida, Penn State and LSU all landed official visits this month, and all three sit in the top group on the On3 RPM. LSU currently sits atop the On3 RPM, but at just 21%. This weekend is key to LSU’s chances of closing on the elite offensive tackle.

Cai Bates – Edgewater (Orlando, Fla.) – 4-star CB

Bates has seen his recruitment take off this offseason, which has him rethinking the decision to commit in June as he continues to feel out top teams now in the mix. Alabama, Florida State and Tennessee were all on the official visit slate for June, with LSU getting the final official visit of the month. Bates also made a visit to Ohio State this month. LSU currently holds the On3 RPM lead going into the weekend, and Bates remains a priority for LSU cornerbacks coach Robert Steeples. This is one recruitment the Tigers would love to win as the rebuild continues at defensive back.

Jelani Watkins – Klein Forest (Houston, Texas) – 4-star WR

Watkins has kept a very low profile throughout his recruitment, leaving many wondering which direction the Lone Star State speedster is truly leaning. LSU holds the On3 RPM lead, and the Tigers are the lone team to host Watkins for an official visit this month. Watkins just repeated as the UIL Class 6A state champion in the 200-meter dash, and he anchored a pair of winning relays for Klein Forest. He’s one of the fastest football prospects in America, and he’s a top target for LSU wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton. Could this be the weekend that puts LSU over the top in his recruitment?
