The LSU football staff pulled off a huge recruiting win in Mississippi when 4-star offensive lineman Tyler Miller announced his commitment to the Tigers in March.

One month after his verbal pledge to the Tigers, Miller and his mother returned to Baton Rouge and hit the sidelines to take in LSU’s annual L-Club Spring Game.

“I enjoyed it a lot,” Miller told The Bengal Tiger staff on Wednesday. “It was good competition, and it was a good way to get ready for the season.”

The 4-star is ranked by On3 as a Top 40 overall prospect, regardless of position. Miller checks in as a Top 3 interior offensive lineman on the On3 Rankings for the 2025 cycle, making him a key piece to LSU’s big board as the Tigers jockey back-and-forth with Ohio State for the No. 1 class on the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Miller is joined by two elite recruits he will be blocking for in 5-star quarterback Bryce Underwood and 5-star running back Harlem Berry as LSU’s trio of highest-ranked commitments on On3.

For a prospect from South Mississippi, the opportunity to headline one of college football’s best recruiting classes with prospects from Michigan and Louisiana is something Miller has cherished since committing to LSU.

“It’s been amazing,” Miller said. “Everyone in my little town knows who I am, and being part of the class has been blessing, really. It’s just a blessing.”

Following the Spring Game, the LSU staff hit the road – and one of the first stops for LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis and offensive coordinator Joe Sloan was a trip to Laurel (Miss.) to check in on Miller.

“It was nice seeing Coach Brad come down for practice and stuff like that,” Miller said, adding that LSU’s offensive line coach is already prepping him for what’s to come in Baton Rouge. “He’s pushing a little more now by helping me out with coaching thoughts with my stance and things like that. He might want me to play guard or tackle, because he loves how I am versatile with it. I will be back at left tackle this year as senior. Then we will see where things are in college.”

Since his arrival on staff, Davis has been red-hot on the recruiting trail, and with three offensive line commitments already on board, Miller became the first out-of-state prospect the Tigers pushed heavily for a commitment.

Miller said he felt comfortable with LSU being the choice, and his rapport with Davis has been key when it comes to the 4-star’s college plans.

“He knows what he is talking about when it comes to offensive line,” Miller said. “He has been in our shoes. It feels like we are brothers or something like that. It’s family. I’ve known Coach Brad well, and I’ve now I’ve gotten to know (LSU offensive coordinator) Coach (Joe) Sloan even more.”

While in-state programs like Ole Miss and Mississippi State are among the programs still recruiting Miller, the 4-star said conversations with LSU’s staff this week have led to an official visit being locked in for June 14 – which is turning into one of the program’s biggest visit weekends of the offseason.

“I will be there next week for my official visit, and I am coming on the trip with my mom and dad,” Miller said. “I am really looking forward to it.”
