WATCH: 4-star LSU commit Kylin Jackson vs. Catholic High
2023 LSU commit Kylin Jackson wasn’t able to bring home the win with his Zachary (La.) team last week, but showed why he’s a four-star safety prospect in the highlights below.
Zachary head coach David Brewerton continues to be impressed with the longtime LSU commitment.
“Kylin Jackson is always going to show up and play an intense football game, and that’s the way he plays and he did it again tonight,” Brewerton said after Zachary’s dominant win over Woodlawn earlier this year. “He made a bunch of tackles like he always does. And he brings a sense of physicality to our football team on the defensive side.
“He loves coming down in the box and make plays. He’s got to understand sometimes stay over top and make some plays, so I think he’s gonna get better at that.”

Kylin Jackson scouting report
“State champion defensive back as a junior for undefeated Zachary (LA) who can plant and drive downhill as well as cover tight ends and running backs in the slot. Stands over 6-foot-2, 195 pounds with room to grow and fill out naturally. Striker as a tackler who looks to make plays in the backfield. Comfortable in coverage but not necessarily his strong suit.

Michigan prepared to offer No. 1 recruit $10.5M over 4 years
Needs to quicken his feet and loosen his hips in order to excel in coverage against more dynamic slot options. Has the size and frame to excel working in the box and covering jumbo slots at the next level. If he can become more dynamic and explosive in college then he could see his name appear on more draft boards once the time comes.”
Kylin Jackson committed to LSU back in August and remains locked in with the Tigers. Jackson is the No. 154 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the 11th ranked safety prospect and the No. 10 ranked player in Louisiana.
