Mooresville (N.C.) Lake Norman offensive tackle Ethan Calloway committed to LSU this summer, giving offensive line coach Brad Davis a key addition to the 2024 recruiting class. Check out the four-star prospect in action in the video.

Calloway helped his team remain unbeaten at 8-0, taking down Cox Mill 27-10.

LSU beat out the likes of Florida, Georgia and Penn State and other contenders. He officially visited LSU this summer and also visited LSU last November for the Alabama game and last spring.

Calloway checks in as the No. 18 offensive tackle prospect in the country and the No. 233 overall recruit on the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

The On3 staff is even higher on him, tabbing him as a Top 100 prospect and Top 10 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle. He’s On3’s No. 87 overall prospect, No. 10 offensive tackle and No. 2 player in North Carolina.

On3 assistant director of scouting Cody Bellaire sees immense upside in the On3 Top 100 prospect.

“Calloway is a legitimate 6-foot-7, 310 pounder with light feet and finisher’s mindset,” Bellaire said. “For an offensive tackle prospect with his size, he has excellent knee bend and flexibility. He’s comfortable in pass protection and is a people mover in the run game. Calloway is a calm, cool and under control when working in space and will develop into a reliable tackle at the next level.”
