WATCH: Brian Kelly previews LSU vs. Texas A&M
LSU head coach Brian Kelly met with the media on Monday to look back on the win over Georgia State and look ahead to Saturday’s matchup vs. Texas A&M.
It’ll be Senior Day in Tiger Stadium as LSU honors the players that helped lay the groundwork for the turnaround in Baton Rouge. Kelly’s appreciative of everything they’ve done since he took over in Dec. 2021.
“It’s a chance for me to thank them personally for what they are doing for this program; that is modeling what a great teammate is and to do things the right way. Many times you don’t have that opportunity to show your team what it looks like to be a great teammate, what perseverance is and what patience is,” Kelly told reporters. “Sometimes what it takes to be successful is to be patient. In this life we live today and in this world, patience is not given enough highlights. This is once again that opportunity where I can thank them for that.”
LSU kicks off at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday against the Aggies, which will be televised on ESPN. It’ll be the final home game for Heisman Trophy frontrunner Jayden Daniels, who has been dominant this fall.
