DJ Chester scouting report
LSU is looking to land Chester as a guard or center with Davis identifying him as a top target early on. On3 director of scouting Charles Power likes what he sees in the multi-sport athlete.
“Big-bodied mauler who makes his presence known in the run game by blowing defenders off the ball and finishing them with tenacity,” Power wrote. “Raw power through his hips and plays with tremendous leverage. Threw an impressive 52-foot-9 in the shot put and 163-foot-3 in the discus during his junior track and field season.

“Chester was a standout at the Georgia state track finals, finishing second in both the shot put and discus. The interior offensive line cycle in 2023 is loaded with top multi-sport athletes and Chester looks to fit in with that group. His 52-9 foot shot put throw stacks up with many of his fellow highly-rated peers.”
