2025 Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve offensive lineman Devin Harper is already one of the top offensive linemen in America. The 6-5, 287-pounder started his junior season on Friday against Northwood in a scrimmage, showing why he’s got the upside colleges look for.

LSU is among the programs gunning for the four-star prospect, leading the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Georgia, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Tennessee, USC and numerous others are after him as well.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Harper ranks as the No. 228 overall prospect in the country, No. 12 interior offensive lineman in the nation and No. 6 prospect in Louisiana.

This summer, Harper worked out for LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis and the LSU staff — and was among On3’s eye-catchers from the event.

“It was a solid day with Coach Davis,” Harper told On3 this summer. “I was busting my butt, but we have a really good relationship. He’s a good coach and a really good guy. He loves all his players and he treats me like I’m his son. When he offered me, he told me I was from the state so he wants to keep me home, and since then we’ve been building our relationship.”

“I like how he teaches everything,” he continued. “Nothing is perfect. Every rep, something is gonna be wrong. I like how he coaches on that making sure there’s full effort and you’re doing everything right.”

Likely an interior lineman at the next level, Harper saw reps at left tackle for his team in the scrimmage against Northwood. He’s got some nasty and effort to his game as he continues to work on his overall technique.
