2024 Jonesboro-Hodge (La.) linebacker Xavier Atkins is doing it all for his team this season. The LSU commit scored a key touchdown in a 20-10 victory over Pineville on Thursday, and he’s committed to making those type of plays when needed.

Xavier Atkins is the No. 369 overall recruit and No. 34 linebacker in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

LSU sits with the sixth best class in the country for the 2024 recruiting class and Atkins was one of three commitments to announce in July.
Going back to June 18, LSU added its first pledge in the class when four-star Shadow Creek (Tex.) safety Maurice Williams committed to the Tigers. He ranks as the No. 103 overall prospect and No. 10 safety nationally, according to the On3 Consensus.

Next up was Atkins followed by Loganville (Ga.) Grayson wide receiver Joseph Stone, who has a teammate in safety Michael Daugherty committed in the 2023 recruiting class. Stone ranks as the No. 136 overall prospect and No. 12 athlete in the nation.
LSU then added four-star Chillicothe (Ohio) tight end Tayvion Galloway, who committed silently after LSU’s Elite Camp in June. Galloway ranks as the No. 148 overall prospect and No. 5 tight end nationally, according to the On3 Consensus.
Finally, another Grayson standout and Peach State prospect, cornerback Zion Ferguson, committed to the Tigers on Sept. 4. Ferguson rank as the No. 158 overall prospect in the country and No. 18 cornerback in the nation, according to the On3 Consensus.
