Watch: LSU QB target Bowe Bentley participates at Elite 11 Tampa

LSU’s top quarterback target in the 2026 class was back on the national stage this weekend competing with some of the best from across the country.
Bowe Bentley, a rising junior out of Celina High in Texas, took part in the Elite 11 regional stop in Tampa. Many consider the Elite 11 series as the nation’s premier QB camp and competition.
Take a look at a few clips below of Bentley from the event.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder continues to back up his surge up the rankings with consistent performances, and now he’s getting closer to a college decision. Bentley has trimmed his list to a final three of LSU, Oklahoma and Georgia. He’ll take official visits to each in June, with trips locked in to Athens on June 6-8, Norman on June 13-15 and Baton Rouge on June 20-22.
Bentley is currently rated as the No. 91 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that factors in all four major recruiting media outlets. He checks in as the No. 9 quarterback nationally and the No. 13 overall recruit in the state of Texas.
On3 is even higher on Bentley than the industry average, tabbing him as the No. 47 overall prospect in the country, the No. 5 quarterback, and the No. 4 player in Texas.
After making his first visit to LSU earlier this spring, Bentley came away impressed with the staff, especially offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan, and the Tigers’ track record of quarterback development.
“For the first time around the whole coaching staff, they made it clear that I am a priority for them. It excites me that they make that clear. I’ve gotten to know Coach Sloan well over the past couple months, we talk nearly every night and he is a really genuine good guy,” Bentley told On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “He and LSU have had amazing success developing quarterbacks and that’s one of my priorities. They have something special there.”

“There’s nothing like walking into Tiger Stadium and knowing I can do big things,” he told On3. “Got to go to the baseball game, and there’s no question that LSU fans are awesome.”
Bentley helped lead Celina to an undefeated Texas state championship, posting eye-popping numbers to the tune of 3,330 yards passing and 47 touchdowns, completing 70 percent of his throws. He added another 933 yards rushing and 16 more scores.
“Bentley showed well-rounded dual-threat ability,” said On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power. “He has a live downfield arm and made an array of impressive throws down the stretch in the state playoffs. Bentley has a compact, powerful build, allowing for strong contact balance both in the pocket and as a power runner.”
Currently, LSU has the No. 1 recruiting class with recent commitments from a pair of blue-chip receiver prospects in five-star Tristen Keys and four-star Jabari Mack.
