Three weeks into the season it seemed like this weekend’s midnight (ET) run to California was going to be against an undefeated team. The Golden Bears defeated overmatched UC Davis in the opener, 31-13, and then upended their 13.5-point underdog status at Auburn to win that game, 21-14. The following weekend Cal handled San Diego State easily, 31-10.
