The Miami Hurricanes men’s basketball team’s new-look roster continues to come together under Jai Lucas, and on Sunday, the Canes landed a commitment from former Georgia guard Jordyn Kee.

The 6-foot-4 combo guard took a redshirt in his only season at Georgia, appearing in just two exhibition games — against Charlotte and Central Florida — without registering on the stat sheet in either. Kee signed with Georgia out of Sagemont Prep (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) in the 2024 class. He was a three-star prospect at the time, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

Kee was ranked as the nation’s No. 290 overall prospect and the No. 15 combo guard, per those rankings. He was also the No. 26 player in the Sunshine State.

The South Florida native is the second player/coach to make the move from Georgia’s red and black to Miami’s orange and green, joining former Bulldogs assistant coach Erik Pastrana, who was hired by Lucas earlier this spring.

Pastrana, a Miami native, joins the Hurricanes after spending the past three seasons as an assistant coach at Georgia, playing a pivotal role in the Bulldogs’ improved success during that stretch.

“Erik is someone I have always wanted to have on my staff,” Lucas said. “His work ethic, communication skills, and ability to build relationships with the players will be crucial to our program’s success. To bring him home to South Florida was a no-brainer.”

Kee is now the sixth in-state prospect to sign with the Hurricanes this offseason and the eighth overall addition to Miami’s roster, joining PF Malik Reneau (Indiana), C Ernest Udeh Jr. (TCU), PG Tre Donaldson (Michigan), SG Tru Washington (New Mexico), Slovakian F Timotej Malovec, four-star SG Dante Allen, four-star SF Shelton Henderson, and F Marcus Allen (Missouri).
