BREAKING: Former TCU C Ernest Udeh Jr. Commits To The Miami Hurricanes

The Miami Hurricanes have continued their hot streak on the transfer portal recruiting trail after landing a commitment from former TCU center Ernest Udeh Jr today. After entering the portal on April 1, Udeh announced his pledge to Miami head coach Jai Lucas and the Hurricanes shortly after.
He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Over the last few years under former Miami head coach Jim Larrañaga, the Hurricanes have lacked size in the frontcourt, and Udeh brings just that.
The 6-foot-11, 250-pounder is coming off his best year at the college level, averaging 6.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists while playing just under 27 minutes per game. He notched six double-doubles in the 30 games he appeared in, recorded 10 games with 10-plus rebounds, and ranked No. 7 in the Big 12 in defensive rebound percentage.

The 2024-2025 campaign will be Udeh’s second at TCU after transferring in ahead of the 2023-2024 season. In his first year, he averaged 4.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.8 blocks, and 1.0 steals in 29 games (all starts), playing 17.3 minutes per game.
In 30 games, all off the bench, at Kansas as a freshman in 2022-2023, Udeh played 8.3 minutes per game and averaged 2.6 points, and 1.8 rebounds.
