WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
Stay tuned this afternoon as we’ll be catching up with Mario Cristobal and new coordinator Corey Hetherman for their thoughts.
To hold you over till then?
There was, of course, the huge Carson Beck to UM news from over the weekend and we had you covered with that including a film study of his play. And we also had your big news on the coordinator front and Hetherman plus a look at his film from Minnesota and how that may translate over to UM.
Also don’t miss our closer look at where things stand with the Miami depth chart on both sides of the ball as the team is still working to add perhaps a few last portal touches before spring ball.
We also start our annual 30 for 30 countdown with the team’s top 30 players who played 30 or more reps. Check out our introduction to that series with a look at last year’s list … and then we kick off this year’s series with deeper dives on No. 30 Emmanuel Karnley and No. 29 Malik Bryant.
Plus our position by position closer analysis series is kicking off with the QB spot, and you’ll see why Miami probably needs to land a top guy out of the portal from that.
In recruiting?
It starts with news on the Jaelen Waters front. The Florida Gators commit out of Seffner (Fla.) Armwood, a 4-star CB, is a strong flip candidate for Miami and is visiting soon. See what he’s saying.
And we had an update from the Navy All-American Bowl was with Lawrenceville (Ga.) Grayson five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson, who is continuing to consider Miami. We also had your Live From The Crib feature on gameday with Miami Hurricanes’ EDGE signee Hayden Lowe.

Check out our coverage from the Pylon 7-on-7 tournament with feedback on Miami commits and targets, including video.
There also continued to be visits from coaches. Leesburg (Fla.) Tavares top-50 linebacker Izayia Williams is as touted as any prospect to receive an in-school visit from head coach Mario Cristobal, with Derek Nicholson tagging along, and Williams shares his thoughts. IMG Academy 2026 four-star interior offensive lineman Breck Kolojay had Cristobal and Alex Mirabal visit and gives his feedback. Stockbridge (Ga.) Woodland High School 2026 offensive tackle Jared Smith got a visit from executive director Stephen Field and talks about that. And we have an update with Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna four-star 2026 running back Derrek Cooper off his school visit from offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson, running backs coach Matt Merritt and receivers coach Kevin Beard.
There’s our latest Inside The Lines feature as well, this one with Las Vegas powerhouse Bishop Gorman’s 2026 defensive lineman Prince Williams. With over a dozen Power 4 offers, which include one from the Miami Hurricanes the Under Armour All-American will have no shortage of choices when it comes to the collegiate level.
We also catch up with Miami (Fla.) Central three-star linebacker Karon Maycock, who has the Canes standing out, and St. Augustine (Fla.) four-star wide receiver Somourian Wingo, who has the Miami Hurricanes among his final group.
Plus check out our feature on freshmen that perhaps could make an immediate impact.
And the basketball team fell to 0-5 in ACC play with a home loss to Wake Forest over the weekend, and we had you covered with that.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.
