There’s our continuing in-depth position by position breakdowns, including all the new portal pieces. Today we are taking a close look at a wide receivers position that has some question marks with the top four statistical receivers gone.
We also continue our annual 30 for 30 countdown with the team’s top 30 players who played 30 or more reps. Check out our latest player on the countdown with an in-depth look at No. 27 LB Jaylin Alderman.
In recruiting?
We have several new updates with junior day coming up this weekend, including a list of top prospects expected on campus.
Another update: Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin four-star Michigan cornerback commit Brody Jennings pledged to the Wolverines last summer, but the No. 263 overall prospect and No. 21 cornerback in the 2026 On300 still wanted to visit Miami for the Hurricanes’ junior day. Find out about that.

And this upcoming weekend Winter Park (Fla.) four-star 2026 safety Ayden Pouncey will be in Coral Gables for the Miami Hurricanes Junior Day event. With new Hurricanes defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman officially announced as Lance Guidry’s replacement, Pouncey is excited to meet him and begin building a relationship.
Plus we catch up with Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington 2027 cornerback Trezavant Boyd. He is still about two years away from his own signing day, but the Hurricanes are among programs to earn his attention early.
Also check out our update with Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore Catholic three-star wide receiver Kenyon Alston, who got an offer after an in-school visit.
There was the wrapup of Miami’s basketball loss at Duke last night you can check out as well.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
Fundamentals – Defense … Posted by APB_Cane
If Hetherman and rest of the staff are able to improve on the following fundamentals, you will find a dramatic improvement on the defensive side of the ball.
- Coaches ability to get their call in and the defense lined up.
- Coaches ability to have the substitution packages organized and aligned with what the personell the opponenets offense is sending out.
- Coaches ability to have the players understand what the offense is trying to attack and to play with composer when “eye candy” is presented by an offense.
- Coaches ability to have players understand their responsibility on every call.
You can talk talent deficit all you want, but the above were major contributors to the defensive failures last year.
