WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

There’s our continuing in-depth position by position breakdowns, including all the new portal pieces. Today we are taking a close look at a tight ends position that has some question marks with Elijah Arroyo gone … but also a lot of potential.

We also continue our annual 30 for 30 countdown with the team’s top 30 players who played 30 or more reps. Check out our latest player on the countdown with an in-depth look at No. 26 LB Bobby Pruitt.

In recruiting? It starts with all the expected junior day visitors this weekend, so check out our update on that. An upcoming visitor we catch up with for a more in-depth preview is Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage four-star receiver Brandon Bennett. Don’t miss his thoughts on the Canes heading into it.

We also talk with commit Camdin Portis, who had a chance to talk with new defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman and shares how that went. He’ll be on campus this weekend as well.

Another update: Last week, Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines 2026 linebacker Tony Williams received an in-school visit from Miami head coach Mario Cristobal and linebackers coach Derek Nicholson. This week, he’ll visit Miami for the first time this year. We talk with Williams.

Also visiting this weekend will be IMG Academy four-star interior offensive lineman Breck Kolojay, and we catch up with him.

Plus we talk with Pensacola (Fla.) Pensacola Catholic four-star EDGE Trenton Henderson, who has Miami very much in his picture.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Carson Beck comparison … Posted by PH1LLY

To me he has better athleticism than Eli Manning
Even though that has been the big comparison
I compare him more to Former NDSU and Eagles QB Carson Wentz

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“It’s a great school. It’s in a great conference. I’m loving everything great about it. It’s close to home. …One thing about Miami, they have a really strong (history) of linebackers, players in my position. They have players in the draft yearly. A lot of my family members are fans of that school, so that’s another thing.”
