WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

There’s our continuing in-depth position by position breakdowns, including all the new portal pieces. Today we are taking a close look at an offensive line position that should be a strength.

We also continue our annual 30 for 30 countdown with the team’s top 30 players who played 30 or more reps. Check out our latest player on the countdown with an in-depth look at No. 25 Zechariah Poyser.

In recruiting don’t miss a new RPM put in for a flip this weekend, as predicted by CaneSport’s Stephen Wagner.

We also continue to look at the huge upcoming junior day visit weekend, including our updated list of key recruits that will be coming on campus. There also are individual updates for you.

One is with Orlando (Fla.) Jones 2026 offensive tackle Xavier Payne. He may have committed to Florida State shortly before Christmas, but the 6-foot-7, 275-pound unranked lineman is excited about visiting Miami this weekend.

Also visiting this weekend: Junipero Serra (Ca.) four-star cornerback Duvay Williams. The No. 1 cornerback in the 2027 class shares his thoughts heading into the trip.

Another update is with Fort Myers (Fla.) High School four-star defensive lineman Kendall Guervil, who got a Mario Cristobal visit at school.

And we had you covered with a new offer that went out on Thursday during an in-school visit – find out what Kordae Houston had to say about that.

Plus we catch up with Fairburn (Ga.) Woodward Academy four-star safety Blake Stewart, who is planning a visit in the near future.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

DBs need to start playing well … Posted by Matahungwa

The amount of DBs that were middle of the road here that are becoming starters in the NFL is alarming. Again, it isn’t a talent issue. Hopefully the new DC hire is moving to remedy that.

“The biggest reason why I wanted to try and make a trip is to maintain a connection with coach Mirabal and coach (Mario) Cristobal and just to get on campus. It’s a beautiful campus, learn a little more about Miami football and what they do day-to-day, not just on game days as well as just experiencing a little bit more.”
