WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

There was the news that Miami has found its cornerbacks coach in Houston’s Zac Etheridge, so we had you covered with that.

We also continue our annual 30 for 30 countdown with the team’s top 30 players who played 30 or more reps. Check out our latest player on the countdown: No. 13 David Blay. The portal DT arrival is expected to start and has the skills to be major disruptive force.

In recruiting?

Our Stephen Wagner is entering an RPM favoring Miami to land one of the school’s top 2026 prospects. Find out who and why.

We have an update with Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne four-star athlete Jamier Brown as well. He got to see what the Hurricanes had to offer for the first time on a recent visit and left impressed. Could UM sway him from his Ohio State commitment?

There’s also an update on a new offer that went out to Broken Bow (Okla.) 2027 ATH Greydon Howell. He had only landed two FBS offers from UTSA and Tulsa before Miami’s staff pulled the trigger last week, so the Hurricanes left a lasting impression after extending it.

Miami defensive line coach Jason Taylor made sure to check up on Florida’s top EDGE prospect before the start of the February dead period next Monday. Find out what Pensacola (Fla.) Pensacola Catholic four-star 2026 EDGE Trenton Henderson was saying about that.

Plus we catch up with Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star safety Justice Fitzpatrick. He is looking to cut his list to five schools “very soon.” And he “definitely” still considers Miami a school he’s keeping an eye on.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Calling my Schott… Posted by WinningWithSuperMario

Brock Schott will catch 50+ passes this year. Brock Bowers caught 56 as a true freshman.

Beck loves throwing to TE’s. Schott is physically ready to play and is freak.

Schotts HS tape looks better than Bowers. Schott is bigger and faster.

There is a a reason Mario locked in on him super early and boxed out Notre Dame.

Best player in our 2024 class.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

Jamier Brown-Ohio State
2027 WR Jamier Brown (Mick Walker/Lettermen Row)

“I think Miami definitely produces good receivers. Coach Beard is a great receivers coach, and based on what he was telling me about how he coaches, I think he’s a coach who can help me develop my game.”
